Cat and Genny training.

Group prices from £699* for up to 8 trainees.

This standard course highlights the importance of the correct use of the Cat & Genny in line with current HSE requirements, helping to reduce the risks associated with buried utilities.

The course places a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on training to encourage effective applied learning and positive outcomes.

A training room is required, as the course includes a classroom-based element to support the learning objectives. However, the primary focus remains on practical experience to maximise trainee engagement and understanding.

Each trainee will be provided with their own Locator for the duration of the course, with all equipment and hardware supplied by us.

The course concludes with a multiple-choice assessment and a summary review.

Bespoke training can also be developed using this format to meet specific RAMS requirements or tailored detection methods.

This course is ideally suited to smaller companies, infrequent users, independent contractors, or those looking to refresh and enhance their existing knowledge.

Upon successful completion, trainees will receive an endorsed certificate valid for three years.

Approved Cable Avoidance Training.

Group cost from £799* for up to 8

This approved course complies with the latest CITB standards and has been designed to emphasise the importance of effective and correct application methods to improve both productivity and safety. It references HSG47 guidance notes and reinforces the need to correctly use and interpret plans, as well as visually identify the presence of buried utilities and associated risks.

Manufacturer-recommended application methods are taught alongside relevant techniques tailored to the trainees’ specific work activities.

The course includes both written and practical assessments, requiring trainees to demonstrate a clear understanding of the correct and safe use of avoidance equipment. Unlike most Cat & Genny training, this course features two practical elements to maximise hands-on experience. To successfully pass the course, trainees must complete both a practical assessment and a written assessment.

This course is suitable for both inexperienced and experienced users.

Upon successful completion, trainees will receive a CITB-endorsed certificate valid for three years. Alternatively, for an additional £35 +VAT per trainee, an EUSR or NOCN-accredited certificate can be issued.
